How to customize background, accent colors, lock screen and start menu in windows 10?
If you want to change the background of your desktop ,lock screen,accent colors or start menu just follow the next steps.
Change background
- Click on start
- Go to settings
- Click on personalization option
- Click on background to change the background of your computer

From background drop down list you can set a
picture, color or a slide show as a background
a.
Using picture
1.
From background drop down menu select picture
2.
Click on any pre installed picture
3.
If you want you can browse your hard drive and
select picture you want.
4.
Choose
how you want that picture to appear form choose a fit option (stretch,
span,tile,center)
b.
Using Solid color
1.
From background drop down menu select solid
color
2.
From appeared color s click on any color and it
will become our desktop background color.
c.
Using slide show
1.
From background drop down menu select slideshow
2.
With this option you can keep multiple pictures
as your background.

For that click on browse button
4.
Select the pictures folder.
5.
Select after what time you want background to be
changed. From change picture every drop down menu.
6.
Choose how you want those pictures to appear
form choose a fit option (stretch, span,tile,center)
Change accent colors
1.
Click on start button
2.
Go to settings
3.
Click on personalization
4.
Click on colors

If you choose first option (Automatically pick
an accent color from my background)
It will take your background color

If you turn on show color on start, taskbar and
action center it will become colorful. If you off them it won’t
7.
If you turn on third option start, taskbar and
action center will become transparent.
8.
You can turn off the first option and select any
color you like.
Change lock screen
1.
Go to settings > personalization and click on
lock screen
2.
Same options are available here just like
background settings
3.
You get 2 choices picture or slideshow
4.
Choose as per you want your lock screen should
appear.
Customize start menu
1.
Click on start button
2.
Go to settings click on personalization
3.
Click on start option
4.
If you
want most used apps list turn on
start menu first option (Show most used apps)
5.
If you want most recently added apps list turn
on the second option ( Show recently added apps)
6.
If you want to use start menu full screen turn
on the third option ( use start full screen)
7.
If you want to see recently opened items in jump
list or taskbar turn on the fourth option ( Show recently opened items in jump
lists on start or taskbar)
8.
To choose which folders to appear on your start
menu click on the link (Choose which folders appear on start) from next screen
turn on / off folders as you prefer.
*If folders are unavailable try this
1.
Open File Explorer
2. Go to
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu Places
( ProgramData is a hidden
directory so, you may need to enable show hidden file from View tab)
3. In Start Menu Places directory rename the Documents shortcut to
Documents_
4. Next copy the Documents_ shortcut and paste
5. Rename the copy Documents_
shortcut to Documents
6. Delete the original Documents_ shortcut
7.
You now should be able to select each option to show up on the Start Menu
